PromptWorks was founded by Sophie, the studio’s director and sole owner. Before building software, Sophie spent years in demanding, hands-on roles — in professional care and nursing, and in animal care — the kind of frontline work most software quietly fails. That experience is the studio’s foundation: we understand shift-pattern reality, compliance pressure and paper-based workarounds from the inside, and we design for how work is actually done.
Sophie leads every engagement personally — discovery, scoping, project management and quality — and builds with modern AI-assisted development tooling.
A lean studio, serious capability
We deliberately stay small. Specialist technical depth comes from a network of contract engineers engaged per project, so clients get senior capability without paying for an agency’s overhead — and the studio’s build capacity grows with the work, not ahead of it.
